Don’t get angry with us, because we’re not stirring up any controversy. The studio definitely knows what it’s asking for at this point by showing no signs of casting anyone of color in their upcoming Gods of Egypt.

Gods of Egypt is circling Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to star in the film about:

“…Butler is in talks to play Set, a god of the desert, storms, and foreigners in ancient Egyptian religion. In Egyptian mythology, he killed and mutilated his own brother OsirisHorus, the son of Osiris, sought revenge against Set for the killing of his father. [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] will play Horus…

To be honest, this casting sounds pretty exciting, but it’s equally annoying to see that the studio isn’t circling around any people of color. It’s still really early in the project, so perhaps someone else with a little bit more pigmentation in their skin will show up…?
