The graveyard rumor mill has definitely been circulating about a certain dead-guy-lovable-zombie-looking-ghost returning to the silver screen. Unfortunately, it’s going to take a little bit more than saying Beetlejuice three times for Tim Burton to get the sequel to the big screen.

Michael Keaton is expected to reprise his role as the Ghost With the Most, although it isn’t known if his deal is finalized yet or not. Our report from last week revealed that Tim Burton was trying to find a way to make both Beetlejuice 2 and the adaptation Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. It seems that the director still hasn’t decided which project he will make next, but it definitely won’t be Beetlejuice 2.

Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenbergwrote the screenplay for this Warner Bros. sequel, although no story details have been revealed yet. No production schedule has been released.

Either way it looks as if Burton is done with producing catastrophes e.g. Dark Shadows.
