So glad Eliza Dushku will be starring in her own upcoming series. Dushku definitely showed audiences that she’s still got the “it” factor on lock with her appearance in the final season of Banshee. This will at least give us die hard Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans something to look forward to since it would appear there will not a reunion or series relaunch despite other networks continuously relaunching shows that should’ve been put out to pastor years ago. I’m looking at you 24: LegacyThe X-Files, and the rest of you shows out there carrying on well past your expiration date.

The series follows the exploits of the Black Company, an elite mercenary unit that carries out the often nefarious deeds of the highest bidder across a Tolkeinesque landscape. When these hard-bitten men discover the prophecy that the embodiment of good has been reborn, they must re-examine their loyalties. The Lady (Dushku), who rules over the Northern Empire, uses the Black Company to further her domination of a power structure rife with usurpers. — deadline

This part definitely sounds like it’s up Dushku’s alley. I look forward to seeing it’s further development.
