Alexandra Shipp is hot these days! Shipp somehow survived the debacle of Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B and quickly moved forward on to box office slayers, Straight Outta Compton and X-Men: Apocalypse. Not to mention the three films she’s got in the whole, SXSW’s Tragedy Girls, the young LGBTQIA flick Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and the indie comedy Dude.
Now Shipp has signed on to the Spinning Man, based on George Harrar’s novel, about a college professor who finds himself in hot water after one of the students he’s having an affair with shows up murdered and he’s the number one suspect. Shipp will play a college student who more than likely knows more than she’s letting in as another student who slept with the philandering professor as well.
