If you haven’t been paying attention, or you skipped on a couple movies that are truly bad (don’t blame you), then you’ve probably missed one of Hollywood’s fastest rising stars, Awkwafina. Awkwafina has recently been seen in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (she stole all of her scenes), and heard in the animated film Storks. Soon she will be seen in the highly anticipated Ocean’s Eight, were Awkwafina will be acting along side the likes of Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, and Helena Bonham Carter. Moving full steam ahead, Awkwafina has also signed on to Crazy Rich Asians. In true Awkwafina fashion, CRA is in another film with amazing talent attached, the film stars break out star Constance Wu.

The story centers on Rachel (Constance Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor, who heads to Singapore with her boyfriend Nick (Henry Golding) for a wedding in his hometown. It doesn’t take long for the truth to come out, that Nick is from an incredibly wealthy family and that Nick is one of the most eligible bachelors in all of Asia, as all of the women in Nick’s elite social class trying to take Rachel down. — movieweb
