Snoop D-O-Double-G is shopping around a hip-hop drama series with his partner Daz Dillinger based on their days in the rap group, Tha Dogg Pound. Although, Tha Dogg Pound never reached the same iconic rap group heights as N.W.A. or Public Enemy, they were definitely in the mix making appearances on Dr. Dre’s classic, The Chronic, and Snoop’s debut solo album, Doggy Style. With urban content performing so well in the box office i.e. Straight Outta Compton, and doing fairly decent on TV/streaming i.e. The Get Down the odds are in Dillinger and Snoop’s favor to get a green light. Now that Hollywood, is not shying away from niche and/or urban content, it would seem fitting that the series would allow for a closer look into the world of Death Row Records exploring the infamous personalities that made up west coast record label i.e. Suge Knight and Tupac Shakur.
