Personally, I could not be more over Vin Diesel these days. I’m #teamtherock all the way regarding the The Fate of the Furious feud between Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. There isn’t a doubt in my mind that Diesel was walking around set every day as if he’s solely responsible for the franchise’s success, and I 100% believe he tried to put the kibosh on Johnson getting a spin-off.

But petty feelings aside, I do think it’s a good idea to a have a spin-off -or two according to Diesel- for the most adorable character in the Marvel Comics Universe, Baby Groot. One spin-off teams up Baby Groot and his main pal, Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper. The other spin-off would involve a non-galaxy based MCU character, the Hulk.

During an interview with USA Today Diesel spoke on the Rocket and Groot spin-off stating:

James Gunn has always wanted a Rocket and Groot movie. And I know that Disney is very much into being successful. And the most successful poster in Disney’s future is the poster that has ‘Groot vs. Hulk.’ … (The world) cannot wait to see it. — Diesel

Speaking on the second spin-off with the Hulk, Diesel imagined a world where the Hulk and a full-grown Groot go toe to toe stating:

The first Groot we saw was a freshman in college. This (Guardians 2) Groot is in nursery school. Wait ’til we see the full-fledged working-man Groot. Wait ’til we see Groot! — Diesel

Much to my chagrin, I don’t hate these ideas, and I honestly believe that Disney would go for at least one of these concepts because they’re actually legit.

What say you?
