“I always thought that Belle would become a teacher and she would run the library in the castle and open it up to the village. This was where I was going.” — Watson.
It’s not the worst idea. Disney has allowed the property to be spun-off into quite a few TV series and mini series. Plus, an animated Christmas special Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. So I can’t imagine the studio not at least considering expanding the franchise in some new creative direction. Not to mention, Dan Stevens said he’s down too.
Plot wise… maybe Gaston -guess what he’s not dead (crazy never dies)- wants to seek vengeance on Belle and her reformed prince? Maybe another French provincial town is suffering at the hands of a spurned enchantress turned evil wicked witch, and Belle and company find away to save the day through increased literacy and feminism?
No clue – any ideas?
