As a lover of all things vampire, it pleases me to announce that world wide bestselling authur, Anne Rice, has just struck a deal to turn her Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles book series into a TV series. Anne Rice and Christopher Rice will executive produce the series with two other producers from the production company that’s optioned the series, Anonymous Content.

If you have not see 1994’s Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles starring Brad PittTom Cruise,  Antonio Banderas and a very young Kirsten Dunst, then do yourself a favor and see it. The movie provided beautifully haunting southern gothic tapestry, sensual and provocative sex scenes, fluid sexuality, same-sex co-parenting, and the coolest part… the film let Dunst loose into the streets of NOLA to reek havoc after reaching a startling realization about her fate.

This movie was so edgy and ahead of its time for the 90s! I can only imagine how much more detailed and daring a TV series in today’s day and age will be especially, if the series lands on a cable network.
